Why We Should Attend Church

 Romans 12:4-5

4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,

5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Corinthians 12:14-16

14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.

15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.

16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.

The Church is Many Members, but, One Body

It would be strange to have a  body that had an arm but no foot, or a body that had a hand but no eye.   Each member of your body has its own purpose.  Each one has a different purpose, but as a whole, they make a healthy functioning body. And so it is with the body of Christ (the Church) we all have specific functions, and it all has to work together. No  individual member of a body is effective on it’s own.  For example, you can’t have a hand without and arm. Or you can’t have a foot without a leg, or ears without a head. But  together we form a whole body, as a body of Christ, we are now able to  serve, pray, build up other members.

Jesus attended church regularly.

He loved to attend the temple regularly. He loved listening and learning from the teachers, He loved obeying God.  So, as followers of Christ, we as Christians should want to do  what Jesus did.  First and foremost, it expresses our love for God.

It encourages us, and we should get into the habit of attending church so that we might be able to keep our minds and hearts on the things of God. Good habits bless your life and produce positive results. When you practice the habit of regular church attendance you are going to reap the blessings that comes with it. It is obedience.

Going to church is a positive example. When you go each Sunday, you're setting an example for yourself, and other people will notice. You will set an example that becomes an inspiration for other people. You are setting an example for the people around you, and when they see that you have a commitment that is leading you to living a better life – others will follow you.

We all need encouragement in the Lord. Life can be hard. Life can be difficult. Throughout your life, you are going to run into all sorts of problems and challenges, But, that is the purpose of the church. Sunday school, Bible study, and Sunday service is where fellowship begins. Taking part in these  services allows you to get to know your other church members better, to fellowship and communicate with other members.

It is and opportunity where you can You can praise and worship God and learn things that you didn't know before. The Church is the place where  should be inspired by the word of God to get a better understanding of your purpose here on earth, and you can do that by building a fellowship so that you can have a deeper relationship with God

There is a spirit that falls on you when you enter the House of the Lord in His presence, that you can’t get anywhere else.

Worship Him in His house, and everywhere you go, and before you know it, your blessing will begin to flow!
